Installation OsmAnd

Once you have chosen installation way from Android Market or web site, you should update application from the same source. Otherwise you will get wrong encrypted error. In that case you should uninstall application from the phone and install again from one of 2 sources.

1. Android Market free version https://market.android.com/details?id=net.osmand
   
2. Android Market paid version. Free version has some limitation and if you want to support development of the product please consider to install paid version as well. Free and paid can be installed on the same device. Android Market https://market.android.com/details?id=net.osmand.plus
   

AndroidPIT paid version. If you would like to buy Osmand+ but want to pay via Paypal or Click & Buy you can do that through the AndroidPIT App market.

First steps in OsmAnd

First, you can decide what features you need. If you are interested only in online features (map, searching OSM Nominatim, routing), you don't need to prepare data. Some map features will be available (auto-zoom, rotating map, choose map source etc.), while others will not be available: searching by address, POIs, using preloaded map tiles, searching for public transport, and others. If you are interested in these features, please read How to download data.

Also please make sure that the SD card is available because all map tiles will be saved on it.
